INTRODUCTION

This is a Titikaka lake Full day tour, exploring the Urus floating Island and Taquile Island. However, this tour takes 2 nights traveling overnight, because the Titikaka Lake is in Puno City, and Puno is 8-Hours from Cusco City. Therefore, This Tour is perfect for people who are in Cusco and want to visit the Titikaka Lake. The bus tickets are included in a commercial Bus Company, nevertheless, you can upgrade the seat kind to enjoy the 8 hours trip overnight.

ITINERARY

The day before the Titikaka tour we will have a meeting in Cusco to brief you about the tour. You will then receive your roundtrip bus tickets from Cusco to Puno. One night before the tour, you will travel leaving Cusco at 10:00 p.m. and arriving in Puno at 6:00 a.m., where we will pick you up. Once in Puno, we will wait at the port to gather all the passengers that come from Bolivia or directly from Lima.

The Titikaka tour begins at 7:00 a.m., departing by boat to the floating islands of Uros, it takes 3 hours by boat, once on the floating islands, you will have more than 30 minutes to share with the locals and see up close how they live. After another hour by boat, we will arrive at the island of Taquile around noon. On Taquile Island, we will have a delicious local dish, we will visit the community to delight us with their dances, music, and textiles. Finally, we will cross the island to take the boat back to Puno, arriving around 5:00 pm. you will have free time in Puno to explore the city and to visit if you want the fertility temple before that the bus leaves to Cusco at 9:00 pm arriving at 5:00 am.

Recommendations for the Titikaka Lake:

We have Daily departures for this tour. The weather is great all year. However, January and February have a few spots of rain, but it’s not a big deal, the lake is in a dry area. Check the Peruvian weather.

The Titicaca lake is in a high area in 3812 m.a.s.l. that is why the temperatures could be around 10°C During the Day, and 2°C During the night. Therefore, you need warm clothes.

This is not a Trekking tour so everybody can do it even if they are old or so young. However, we don’t have the means to offer the tour to people with wheelchairs.

On this tour, the lunch is included, but you need to bring money to buy something for breakfast, dinner, and to buy snacks. We recommend bringing something like 20 dollars per person.
